Over the rainbow offers therapeutic support to adoptive families and looked after children using dyadic developmental psychotherapy (DDP) and Theraplay® informed practice.
The key objective is to support families who are struggling with their relationships.
Our aim is to work together with parents and children exploring early traumatic experiences in a safe and supportive way.
We believe that working with parents and children together is essential when practising from an attachment focused framework.
Over the rainbow aims to support families to regain the joy of being together by enhancing the opportunity to experience good relationships. To be able to play and laugh together and importantly, to be able to stay together through the tougher times with a shared understanding of one another' s emotional behaviour.
The service provides a range of therapeutic interventions to families, with consultation available to extended family members, support networks and other professional agencies who are in contact with the family.
Over the rainbow is based in Coventry, however aims to provide a service throughout a wide geographical area.
